Marquee's & Marquee Hire

We offer two styles of marquees one is a Walu Cottage “Chinese Hat” these come in two sizes 3m x 3m & 5m x 5m. The 5m Walu Cottage can be joined together to form a square or even something different (we would suggest a site visit to discuss this).

The other is a clearspan marquee they are available in many sizes and are modular in construction. Because of this it enables you the freedom to add modules to your existing structure, in case of any last minute changes. Clearspan marquees let you maximize all the inside space with no interference from centre poles.

  • Our equipment meets all BS safety standards
  • The framework is constructed from aluminium of a BS 5950 & BS 8118 standard.
  • The covers are white PVC of a BS 7837 & BS 5438 standard which is also Flame Retardant.
  • The linings are made of 100% Polyester this is flame retardant and complies with BS 5867 standard. It also has a breaking strength that complies with BS 3424 standard.
  • We operate on following Health & Safety Standards set out by MUTA.

Sizes

We offer our clearspan in four different sizes these are:

3m Wide:

This size which can be used for many things such a Walkways, Entrance Porches or even stalls for country markets etc.

6m Wide:

This size marquee is great for those of you that have long thin gardens.

9m Wide:

This is our most popular size of marquee and will suit any kind of function.

12m Wide:

This size marquee is becoming more fashionable every season. It allows you to hold your whole function under one roof without you feeling like you are a long tunnel.

We can also provide structures in 15m, 20m & 25m.

Linings

We offer linings to suit all of our structures, the style of linings that are available are Ivory pleated, Flat White or Flat Ivory. We can also offer different coloured swags we currently stock Ivory, Gold, Burgundy and Dark Green. We can always obtain other colours to suit your colour scheme and you can always add in Overlays to enhance the roof Linings. Our LED starlight effect linings will enhance the atmosphere inside of the marquee these are most popular over dance floors. They look particularly spectacular over a Black & White Dance Floor.

How can I work out what size marquee I need?

Working out the size marquee that best suits your needs is quite easy. There is a basic rule that we use.

For a Sit Down Meal:

We allow 12sqft or 1.1sqm per person.

For a Stand-up Buffet/Drinks Reception:

We allow 7sqft or 0.6sqm per person.

Dance Floor & DJ

We allow approximately 15ft x 15ft size Dance Floor for 100 people in which case you would need to add enough space to occupy this. Usually the space required would also be enough room for a DJ or Band.

Dance Floors are available in Oak Parquet or Black & White - Our Stages are in modules of 8' x 4' and can be joined together to make a size that suits your requirements.

How this equates!

For a sit down meal of 100 people with a dance floor, band & catering area you would need a 30’ x 70’ – 9m x 21m Marquee.

Breaking this down:

You would have approximately allowed 15ft x 15ft Size Dance Floor so if you picture your Marquee as 7 Bays Long & 3 Bays Wide take two bays off the length this will leave you 5 Bays Long. For the catering tent we would section off a bay at either end of the Marquee this is dependant on what best suits your needs. This will now leave you with a Marquee that is now 4 bays long which is your seating area, so if you now times 30’ x 40’ this equals 1200sqft divide this by 12 which will equal 100 this is your amount of people sitting down.
