Oxfordshire County is rich in history, education, culture and scenery. This is where the world-renowned town of Oxford is found, along with Henley-on-Thames. The former has been home to notable figures such as J.R.R Tolkien and Oscar Wilde, while being the filming location for classic films such as Harry Potter. The latter is equally note-worthy, being home at one point or another to iconic figures such as George Orwell and even The Beatle’s George Harrison until his death. Not surprisingly, Oxfordshire is a major county for literary events, with many held throughout the year. Other events include festivals, fashion events and many others that attract socialites from all over the UK.
